INSURANCE
All health insurance companies  in California covers acupuncture but typically only for the treatment of pain.  Some insurance companies cover for other conditions. There is no guarantee they will cover your condition. We would be happy to check with your insurance company to verify coverage . Please allow us to do so before your first appointment.

Korian Acupuncture is an out of network  provider for most insurance companies.

Korian Acupuncture is currently in the process of accepting insurance through United Health Care and Kaiser Permanente - Northern CA.  Until that time I am happy to provide you with a Superbill for reimbursement.

Flex Spending and HSA covers acupuncture for any condition. You do not need a referral from your doctor. We can accept your flex  spending credit card directly or if you do not have one we will bill you for the cost of the treatment and give you a bill to submit to your FSA or HSA for reimbursement.

Did you know that  because of the Affordable Care Act, the vast majority of California’s 38 million residents will have a basic level (up to 20 treatments a year) of acupuncture coverage starting 2014? If your plan covers acupuncture, please let me know your carrier. If you would like more information about whether or not your insurance covers acupuncture, we recommend you call the number on your insurance card and ask. In the meantime, at the time of your visit, we can provide a receipt and the “super bill” that your insurance requires for reimbursement.  This will include information on how to submit a claim to your insurance.
